Exercise Escapades

This week was another successful week! I worked out every day (Mon.-Fri.)! I did a Focus T25 video every single day! (*pats self on the back*) I tried one video that I hadn't done before: Lower Focus. Oh, my, was it hard! My legs were burning!! Hopefully Weigh-In Wednesday will be kind to me after all my hard work! Here's this week's workout schedule:

Monday: Focus T25 Ab Intervals (Alpha)
Tuesday: Focus T25 Cardio (Alpha)
Wednesday: Focus T25 Speed 1.0 (Alpha)
Thursday: Focus T25 Lower Focus (Alpha)

Recipe Report

For this week's Recipe Report, I decided to make Cucumber and Dill Sandwiches. I had seen these creamy, delicious looking sandwiches on TV and began my search to find a good recipe. I finally found one that sounded pretty good and got to use my food processor for something other than banana "ice cream" and frozen yogurt. Instead of regular cream cheese, I used 1/3 less fat cream cheese, and then for the sugar, I substituted Truvia instead. I also added a dash of white pepper (since other similar recipes called for it) to spice it up a bit. It turned out really well. I loved the flavor. . .at first. But after I had it again, I began to get a bit tired of it. I made a whole container full of the spread, so I'm determined to finish it. I think it'd be good every once in a while, but not every day. I sliced up fresh tomatoes to put on my sandwich and used 45-Calorie Bread or my Flatout Flatbread. I figured out the spread to be 2 Points Plus (makes 8 servings), and with the 45-Calorie Bread, it was 5 points total. So, overall, I'd say it was a successful recipe!

Weigh-In Wednesday

Today's Weight:
299.2
I lost 3.6 pounds this week, and I DID IT!!! I'm finally out of the 300s for good!! I'm so excited, and I'm never, ever going above it again! Weight Watchers yelled at me this morning because I lost too much this week, but whatever. I'm sure it'll slow down again. I'm just happy to have passed my first milestone on my weight-loss journey.
Total Weight Loss: 22.8 pounds

Only 119.2 to go!

Shut up, and be
happy for me, WW!
Woot woot! Don't mind the
chipped pink nail polish...

Artistic Antics

Well, Craft Tuesday was not a success. We're moving it to Craft Thursday because poor Robin's car decided to die. We even 3-way called my dad to see if he could help, but I think it's done for. I feel so much for her! I can't imagine. Positive thoughts for Robin!
On another note, tomorrow is Weigh-In Wednesday, and I'm really nervous. I'm so close to being under 300 pounds! Also, I need a scale intervention, according to Robin and Tayanna. I weighed myself Monday and it said 298.6, and I got super excited, but this morning it was 299.something. I know I shouldn't weigh every day (only once a week), but I can't help it! I'm obsessed! Hopefully tomorrow, I'll be excited when I step off the scale. We'll see what happens! Wish me luck!

Phenomenal Foods

Today's phenomenal food is:
Apples!
Apples are delicious! I've always loved them: Green, Granny Smith, Fuji, Gala, any type you can think of, really. Honeycrisps are my all-time favorite, though! They're so sweet and crispy. Any time Costco has them, I stock up. I've always heard that apples are an appetite suppressant. According to an article called 20 Superfoods for Weightloss from self.com, "People who chomped an apple before a pasta meal ate fewer calories overall than those who had a different snack. Plus, the antioxidants in apples may help prevent metabolic syndrome, a condition marked by excess belly fat or an 'apple shape.'" I have noticed that anytime I have an apple before my meal, I tend to eat less because I get full faster. Plus, on Weight Watchers, apples are 0 Points Plus, so it doesn't hurt your daily points to add an apple before your meal!

Weekend Warrior

Well, I survived the weekend, snowed in at my apartment. It was pretty uneventful. I did, however, dog-nap my neighbors' dog since they think it's okay to leave her outside in freezing weather and snow for hours on end. I brought her inside for an hour or so until they came back and then let her back outside. They eventually came and got her. My landlord told them to find both dogs a home (there were originally 2) or they'd have to give them to the shelter within 10 days. Well, today is day number 16, and nothing's being done. I hate people who don't take care of their pets. I can't stand that the poor dog barks outside at night because she's cold and wants in. I'm considering stealing her. . .but not really. I will annoy the crap out of my landlord until something's done, though. We'll see what happens.
Anyway, I actually ate really healthy this weekend since I was in my own apartment with all of my healthy foods and no tempting snacks. I have a snow day tomorrow, as feared, so I'll get to continue binge watching different TV series. This weekend was My Mad, Fat Diary, suggested by one of my best friends, Tayanna. Oh, my god, guys. I'm in love. To my core. And I've finished all the episodes that are out so far and my heart is sad that I have to wait for the next one. It's all about a girl who I can relate to very much. She's overweight and it affects her social life, and she has anxiety about going out in public or being seen with someone "out of her league" and whatnot. She's a little more mental than I am, but I may have balled my eyes out a few times throughout the day. It's a wonderful show about something that's hard to talk about. If you're bored, you should really give it a try. Well, here's to hoping I find something fun and productive to do tomorrow on my snow day! Exercising starts up again, so that'll be fun. . .not. Wish me luck!

Shopping Shenanigans

Well, people of the blog world, not too much to report today. Since my dad forbade me from driving home this weekend in the weather, my brother came down for a day and a half to help pass the time. I need to run to Costco soon to stock up on some groceries that have run out since last time, but that's not in the cards this weekend, apparently. I need sweet potatoes, popcorn, veggie burgers, bread, string cheese, Diet Coke, and Fiber One bars. Really, the only thing I bought today was a (delicious) sandwich from Subway.
Also, this morning, I made Skinny Vanilla Bean Donuts for my brother and me. I didn't fill the mini bundt pans quite as much this time, so they actually turned out looking like donuts! Yay! And since I made more, I had to change the serving size in my Recipe Builder on Weight Watchers, so it brought the Points Plus value down from 5 to 3 (since they were smaller portions). I still ate a couple, though. Then, for lunch, Austin and I had veggie burgers with a baked potato. He claims I have a problem because I put a ton of hot sauce (Chipotle Tobasco) on my potato, but it's delicious! He doesn't know what he's missing! I put that stuff on everything!!
Well, I'm hoping that I won't get a call tomorrow night saying we have a snow day Monday, but who knows. If we get as much as they're predicting, I don't think we'll have school. A lot of my students live out in the country, and the buses can't get down the gravel roads to pick them up. We'll see what happens. Maybe I'll clean or something. Or maybe have a Netflix marathon. Yeah, Netflix will probably win. . .
