Recipe Report
For this week's Recipe Report, I decided to make Cucumber and Dill Sandwiches. I had seen these creamy, delicious looking sandwiches on TV and began my search to find a good recipe. I finally found one that sounded pretty good and got to use my food processor for something other than banana "ice cream" and frozen yogurt. Instead of regular cream cheese, I used 1/3 less fat cream cheese, and then for the sugar, I substituted Truvia instead. I also added a dash of white pepper (since other similar recipes called for it) to spice it up a bit. It turned out really well. I loved the flavor. . .at first. But after I had it again, I began to get a bit tired of it. I made a whole container full of the spread, so I'm determined to finish it. I think it'd be good every once in a while, but not every day. I sliced up fresh tomatoes to put on my sandwich and used 45-Calorie Bread or my Flatout Flatbread. I figured out the spread to be 2 Points Plus (makes 8 servings), and with the 45-Calorie Bread, it was 5 points total. So, overall, I'd say it was a successful recipe!
