I've been reading up on all of the benefits of drinking water with lemon in it. So far, what I've gathered is this:
  1. Lemons help you lose weight because they contain pectin, which is a fiber that has shown to help you lose those pounds!
  2. Lemons also help slow down the sugar absorption in your body.
  3. They have many other health benefits such as:
    • The prevention of kidney stones
    • Soothe a sore throat
    • Good source of vitamin C and potassium
    • Can stop an itch from bug bites
    • Help with digestion
    • Bring down a fever
    • Balance your pH
Lemons seem to be somewhat of a super food! I just bought a whole bag of fresh lemons and plan to start adding them to my water each day (since I've cut down my Diet Coke® consumption tremendously because of all the aspartame in it). My grandma also adds fresh lemons to her Crystal Light® lemonade to give it a little different flavor along with all those great health benefits mentioned above!
